A qualifying service contract can be ended without an early-termination charge. Covered advance payments must be refunded within 60 days. Phone-number retention and limited service-restoration protections may also apply.
Common paths include relocation orders lasting at least 90 days to a place where the service is unavailable. Other paths may apply after stop-movement orders, death, catastrophic injury, or certain family moves.
Send written or electronic notice, orders, and the requested end date. Provider-owned equipment generally must be returned within 10 days after disconnection.
