Federal first
We explain what federal law provides before showing any additional benefit offered by an institution.
How we workOfficial sources and clear explanations
We explain what federal law provides before showing any additional benefit offered by an institution.
We show a lower rate, fee waiver, longer period, or broader family coverage only when it appears on an official bank or credit-union website.
A parent company, shared logo, acquired bank, card issuer, loan owner, and loan servicer can lead to different instructions. We do not copy a benefit or route across those boundaries without current evidence.
Every phone number, address, fax, email, branch, or online option is labeled for the purpose the institution gives it: questions, starting a request, sending a request, or sending documents.
If we do not find a dedicated route or extra benefit, we say exactly that. We do not turn “not found” into “the institution does not offer it.”
An institution keeps a standalone guide only when the official evidence supports useful account, eligibility, limitation, and next-step decisions. Otherwise, it remains in the directory and estimator without a padded article.
Editorial evidence
Orders First adds value by separating federal rights from institution programs, matching facts to the correct account and institution, and showing what each contact option actually does.
A concise explanation tied to the institution, product, eligibility condition, limitation, and official source. Institution-provided extras stay separate from federal SCRA rights.
Unverified rates, copied claims from a related company, conflicted contact details, expired offers, and a general phone number presented as though it accepts orders or documents.
A new official policy, product term, merger notice, issuer or servicer change, corrected route, or evidence that a previously published fact is no longer current.
Why guide counts change
Every institution in the directory remains available in the estimator and comparison. A standalone guide is published only when reviewed evidence supports a meaningful benefit, request process, account router, or dated transition explanation.
When the available evidence amounts only to a generic starting point, we keep that guidance in the directory. We do not manufacture FAQs, repeat federal boilerplate, or imply that a research gap is an institution policy.
It is not a promise that the institution will keep the same program or route. Material changes are shown on the affected guide. If something looks stale, email support@ordersfirst.com with the institution name and official page.
Estimate and request
The download includes the written request, your name, institution, account type, account last four, active-duty start, and any optional email or phone you add. It does not include your account-opened date, balance, APR, estimated amount, or calculation.
Before sending it, sign the request and add the service documents your institution asks for.
Editorial responsibility
Orders First is an independent educational service. It is not a financial institution, loan servicer, government agency, or law firm. The institution decides eligibility and calculates any adjustment.
