Quick answer

Citi SCRA overview

Citi lists online, phone, mail, and fax options for SCRA requests. It says eligible accounts receive benefits within two to three monthly billing cycles after Citi confirms eligibility.

Federal protections are separate from any additional benefit offered by a bank.

Request-process guide

Citi gives a clear enrollment path, document checklist, and processing expectation.

This guide explains the mechanics of a Citi request. It does not claim a special Citi rate below the federal limit because Citi's public instructions do not state one.

01

Fastest start

Signed-in SCRA enrollment

Citi provides an authenticated online enrollment path. Orders First links to it but never asks for or handles Citi credentials.
02

Paper request

Mail or fax active-duty orders

Citi's instructions call for a written request or cover page and a copy of active-duty orders containing the service details it names.
03

Do not include

Military or federal government photo ID

Citi expressly says not to include that identification with the mailed or faxed SCRA request.
04

After eligibility

Allow two to three monthly billing cycles

Citi says eligible accounts receive benefits within two to three monthly billing cycles after eligibility is confirmed. That is not a promise about an ineligible or incomplete request.

Federal SCRA rule

Start with when the debt began.

Federal SCRA interest relief generally concerns qualifying debt from before military service. A bank's extra benefit can be broader or more generous, but it does not replace the federal eligibility test.
